Emergency Dental Flagstaff

When an emergency arises, it is a scary time. At first you might not know what to do and before you try to help you have to collect your thoughts and stay calm which is a lot easier said than done. Once you collect yourself and you are calm, then it is time to help but exactly how are you supposed to help? Please, do not do anything if you are unsure because the situation can easily become worse than it originally was. If you have absolutely no idea what to do, then call someone. Call 911.

It seems that emergencies always happen during odd hours of the night and when it comes to a dental emergency, your family dentist might not be around and it doesn’t seem that a hospital can help that much, but they can and they also have the resources to get a dentist in to help you as soon as possible. So don’t be afraid to go to the hospital for a dental emergency because they will do everything in their power and they will work on contacting your dentist.

I have had a dental emergency of my own once when I was younger and it was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me. My front permanent tooth was knocked out and my mother was calm (she had 3 boys, she learned how to be calm in situations like this). The first thing that she did was put my tooth in a glass of milk because it has a neutral pH balance which keeps the tooth healthy and clean. Luckily, my family has been long time friends of our dentist and we called him out of a dinner and he opened his office to help.

That was in Chicago, but your dentist here in Flagstaff would be more than willing to help you or someone else in a time of an emergency. There are a lot of dental emergencies here with all the outdoor activities like climbing, biking, and any other sports. It is going to happen at one point or another to someone. Just remember to stay calm. Doctors of all kinds and in any location around the world want to take an emergency and turn it into a calm situation that they can work with so help them out by keeping your cool and helping with whatever you can.
