Robert W. Ruge, D.D.S. ~ University of Texas Health Science Center located in San Antonio, Texas 1984
Dr. Ruge was born in Dallas, Texas in 1956. His father was a mechanical engineer and moved the family to Phoenix in 1961. Dr. Ruge fell in love with northern Arizona and decided very early in his life that Flagstaff was where he wanted to live someday. After graduating from Arizona State University in 1978, he returned to Texas to attend dental school. After graduating in 1984, he returned back to Arizona. He practiced in Phoenix and Cottonwood and was able to relocate to Flagstaff in 1990, opening Woodlands Village Dentistry, P.C. He enjoys all phases of dentistry and the wonderful people he gets to meet. He and his wife, Libby, have two daughters, Lauren and Kelley. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Arizona Dental Society and the United States Dental Institute. Dr. Ruge enjoys camping, snow skiing, scuba diving, and just spending time with his family. He attends many hours of continuing dental education every year in order to stay on the cutting edge of the newest dental techniques and materials. He looks forward to meeting you and having you and your family as patient's in our practice.
LeAnn M. Finney, R.D.H. ~ Old Dominion University Norfolk, Virgina 1972
Growing up in a military family, LeAnn moved many times - living in Maine, California, and even Australia. She attended the Dental Hygiene program at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She earned her R.D.H. degree and practiced many years in that area. During this time, she married a naval officer and now has four children. Her husband's career took her to other places including Texas, New Mexico and Alaska. Her family moved to Arizona in 1994. Her husband now works at Northern Arizona University at the Cline Library. What LeAnn enjoys about dentistry and working with Dr. Ruge is the office's emphasis on quality care for every patient and how hard they try to offer options to meet the patient's own needs and desires within the patient's personal budget. This is an office that is not a production line, but one that works hard to remember each family, each person - something that LeAnn is very proud of.
Elizabeth Ruge - Insurance Coordinator
Born in Florida and raised in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I have lived in Flagstaff for 21 years and if only it had a beach, it would be the perfect place to live. My husband and I have raised our two wonderful daughters here, and we all enjoy camping and hiking that abounds in the West. We also have three dogs, which are a huge part of our family and go with us just about everywhere.
Michelle A. Custer - Office Manager
I am recently a new grandmother of two darling baby boys. All my children and grandchildren live in Flagstaff, so I get to see them often. I love to scrapbook and spend a lot of time with my husband of many years and our two very spoiled dogs, Puppa and Snoopy.
Joy B. Crow - Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Arizona. I am a single mother of two awesome children. I have been a dental assistant for 35 years now and still love everyday. In my spare time, I raise animals to show around the state and breed shows. I enjoy my volunteer time and mission trips for medical and dental .
Shawn D. Winniecki - Dental Assistant
I am a Flagstaff native and have lived here my entire life. My wonderful husband of 26 years is a Captain on the Flagstaff Fire Department. We are blessed to be the parents of four great kids and recently became grandparents to the cutest grandsons ever. On my time off, I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading, decorating, sewing, cooking and spending time with my animals, especially my goats, Shilo and Milo. I enjoy my job and have been blessed to work with some of my best friends here at Woodlands Village Dentistry for six years.
